The BVPAGE Summer Opportunities Fair is an annual fundraising event that connects families with a wide variety of summer camps and programs through the region. Money raised from this event supports programming for families in the Blue Valley School District who have children identified as gifted and provides grants for Blue Valley gifted teachers. For a $50 donation, you will secure one table at an open house event on February 2, 2023 from 7pm to 8:30pm that will be open to the general public to attend. You may purchase more than one table if you need more space. As part of your donation, we will also share your program information via an individual social media post on our Facebook forum for those families who are unable to attend. A list of vendor information will be sent out to our email list of more than 800 contacts.

Please follow these steps to register for the Summer Opportunities Fair:

1. Complete this form.

2. When prompted within the form, make your donation by sending a check to the BVPAGE Treasurer (information is in form) or via PayPal by using the Donate button on the BVPAGE website. (For your convenience, we accept PayPal or checks. PayPal takes 2.9% plus 30 cents, so if you prefer to provide BVPAGE with all of the funds, you may send a check. BVPAGE is not a 501c3, so your donation is not tax deductible.)

3. Look for payment confirmation email from BVPAGE.

Thank you for participating in the 2023 Summer Opportunities Fair!

Dear BVPAGE families,

I hope you all had a wonderful Halloween and are looking forward to the upcoming holidays! I wish we could have brought you all with us when we delivered $50 classroom grants to each Blue Valley gifted teacher at the end of October. They were all extremely grateful and we made sure to pass along all your love and support for the effort they put in every day to engage our kids. Remember, these grants wouldn't be possible without our BVPAGE community, so thank you to all of you who have helped contribute. Please know that you can give at any time toward next year's grants by going to our website and clicking on donate, or simply click here. Every little bit helps and benefits our kids! Our next BVPAGE coffee meetup is on Tuesday, 11/15 at 9 am. We will meet at Pilgrim Coffee, as usual. I always look forward to the laughs... and the caffeine. We typically meet the 3rd Tuesday of the month but, due to holidays, we will meet a little earlier this month and next. If you want to plan ahead, December coffee is Tuesday 12/6. While you are marking your calendars, make sure you plan to come to our in-person meeting in early December! During the past couple of years, we have had a lot of new families join the gifted program and also many whose kiddos have moved into middle or high school and have questions about changes to gifted support. That's why we invited Blue Valley District Gifted Administrator, Kristin Asquith, to share the highlights of and differences between gifted education in elementary, middle, and high school in Blue Valley. We will meet at Hilltop Conference Center room C on Friday December 2nd from 11:30am-1pm. If you have questions about your child's current support, need a refresher on what's offered, or you're curious to see what the Blue Valley gifted journey will be like for your child down the road, this is the meeting for you! Feel free to bring your lunch, and younger siblings are welcome to join with a quiet activity from home. Stayed tuned for next month's newsletter when we will have information on the 2023 Summer Opportunities Fair and an exciting announcement about Brain Blizzard! Hope to see you all soon!
