It's rainy out and it seems like a good day to stay home, but if you do, not only will you miss a chance to get together with people who probably know a little bit about what it's like to live with your kids, but you'll also miss two great presenters talking about the best practices of advocating for your child and being a positive team member in your child's gifted education experience. This information is also going to be featured at KGTC in October, so it's definitely worth getting out in the rain to say you saw it here first!

Topic: Advocating without Alienating with Tracy Elford and Lisa Nickel.
Past Presidents of BVPAGE will discuss the power of positive communication and how to advocate for your child. Examples are given on: how to ask for help, discussing classroom situations, being part of your child’s education team, and situations/words to avoid. With five gifted children and over 50 (!!) years of cumulative Blue Valley experience between them, Lisa and Tracy present topics and situations familiar to us all. If you are just starting (or need a good refresher) on the gifted journey with your child, this could be the most important information you hear!
